01

Context

My trader partner shapes the trading strategy, market direction, and original business ideas. As CTO and technology partner, I turn that knowledge into the web platform, MQL5 systems, integrations, and production operation.

02

Challenge

The hard part is making the website, downloadable trading software, subscriptions, one-time purchases, licenses, accounts, and growing catalog feel like one product without creating a fragile operation behind it.

03

My contribution

  • Led and implemented the Rails and PostgreSQL product foundation, account model, catalog, plans, access rules, and operational workflows.
  • Integrated Stripe payments and product access for recurring plans and digital marketplace purchases.
  • Built MQL5 Expert Advisors and MT5-facing integrations that connect trading tools with the web product.
  • Containerized and deployed the application with Docker and Kamal on a VPS, leading release and maintenance work.

Architecture

Rails handles accounts, commerce, licensing, and the catalog. MQL5 handles execution inside MetaTrader 5. Keeping those responsibilities separate lets each side evolve without putting checkout logic inside trading tools or trading logic inside the web app.

Product outcome

  • Customers can find execution panels, systems, indicators, templates, plans, and account updates in one place.

  • New trading modules can be added without wiring each one directly into checkout or account screens.
