01

Context

These names describe the same company at different stages, not three jobs I held at the same time.

02

Challenge

Consulting meant moving between established systems and new products, learning unfamiliar domains quickly, and making changes without breaking production behavior.

03

My contribution

  • Developed and maintained Rails and Elixir/Phoenix applications backed by PostgreSQL, GraphQL, REST APIs, and cloud services.
  • Implemented features, refactored business logic, optimized queries, and resolved production bugs across multiple client products.
  • Contributed to automated testing, CI/CD workflows, accessibility work, integration reliability, and production delivery.
  • Worked on products including DailyDrip, Phaast, Agency Rocket, QuantHub, and other client systems.

Architecture

Most projects combined a Rails or Phoenix backend, relational data, internal and external APIs, automated tests, and cloud delivery, with the interface adapted to each client's workflow.

    Product interfaces

Server-rendered and JavaScript interfaces adapted to each client workflow.

  2. 02

    Rails / Phoenix

Domain behavior, APIs, integrations, and background workflows.

  3. 03

    PostgreSQL

Relational modeling, queries, transactions, and reporting needs.

  4. 04

    API integrations

GraphQL, REST, payments, and client-specific external services.

  5. 05

    Delivery systems

Tests, CI/CD, cloud infrastructure, monitoring, and production maintenance.

05

Product outcome

  • I contributed through seven years of company change and across several client products running in production.
  • My work expanded from backend features into testing, accessibility, integrations, performance, and release work.
  • The current DBA site is the public reference; I do not link to outdated DailyDrip or SmoothTerminal destinations.
