Agency Rocket
Backend / Full-Stack Contributor at DBA
An insurance sales platform that turns dense carrier documents and financial scenarios into interactive proposals agents can use with clients.

01
Context
Agency Rocket gives insurance agents tools for retirement, debt-elimination, and infinite-banking conversations. DBA built it to replace a process that depended heavily on manual document work.
02
Challenge
The team had to turn large insurance documents into proposals people could understand, connect many carrier workflows, and keep the financial calculations dependable.

My contribution
- Contributed to the Elixir/Phoenix, GraphQL, and PostgreSQL product as part of the DBA engineering team.
- Implemented new functionality and refactored existing application behavior within a complex domain model.
- Worked on backend integrations, tests, debugging, and performance maintenance as one member of the product team.
Architecture
The Vue application talks to an Elixir backend through GraphQL. The backend combines carrier data, document processing, proposal rules, and cloud services to deliver the interactive sales experience.
- 01
Vue product UI
Interactive proposal, visualization, and agent-facing workflows.
- 02
GraphQL API
Typed product queries and mutations between frontend and backend.
- 03
Elixir services
Domain workflows, integrations, document processing, and business rules.
- 04
Data layer
Persistent scenario, proposal, account, and integration state.
- 05
Google Cloud / Kubernetes
Publicly documented deployment stack for the product.
05
Product outcome
- DBA's public case study reports integration with 18 major insurance carriers and automated conversion of lengthy source documents into cloud-based interactive proposals.
- Agents can use several visual sales systems to explain complex financial strategies in a more approachable way.
- Those results belong to the wider Agency Rocket and DBA teams, not to one contributor.
